A walk around Portadown at dawn.
I awoke early one morning to find that it was -4 degrees C outside but with a beautiful clear sky. Packing my tripod up I set out to capture the stillness of the pre-dawn scenes to be found around the river Bann in my hometown of Portadown, Northern Ireland.
The river was as calm as a mill-pond, almost perfectly reflecting like a mirror the streetlights on the bridge, and presenting a most wonderful opportunity for a camera toting person like me.
Then the sun peeped over the horizon, a deep orange ball of fire illuminating the frosted blades of grass along the banks of the river and silhouetting the trees.
